Character Name: Hong D. Qigong, "Northern Beggar" and "Nine Fingered Divine Beggar"
Affiliation: Revolutionary
Bounty Level/Rank: 9,000,000 (Tier 1)
Age: 20
Appearance: Qigong has a rugged and rough look about him, from his medium-long and wild pitch hair to the stubble on his upper lip and jaw.
His eyes are an unassuming brown. Standing at 5'10", he wears tattered earth-tone clothes that almost resemble an assortment of rags more than clothes. His top is an off-white coat, beneath which is a dark salmon long sleeve shirt. He wears a large dark brown strip of fabric tied around his neck which obscures much of the chest area. Wrapped around his waist is a brown belt and sash hanging to his knee. His pants are a dark brown, encircled by bandages on both legs. They cut off well above the feet, progressively becoming more worn and frayed the lower they get. His footwear is two boot sandals made from numerous overlapping straps, leaving the toes humbly exposed. On his backside he sheaths a basic green piece of bamboo which slightly outsizes even his body. On either side of his waist is a gourd full of alcohol and a money bag used for begging and storing beries. While the outfit surely doesn't scream aristocracy, he still manages to look quite cool for a beggar.
Personality: Although he appears as a happy go-lucky beggar who idles his time away, he actually uses his skills to help those in need and displays heroic characteristics.
He has a reputation with those who know him as the most humble man in the world, and he has fittingly never laid claim to such a title himself. Bound by strong codes of honor and justice, Qigong is not the type to tolerate corruption. His convictions often lead to him taking drastic measures to both uphold his sense of honor and punish wickedness. Despite being orderly by nature, Qigong also considers that, in some situations, the intent is what matters and that small or petty crimes tend to be of little concern. He also thinks pirates are generally far closer to the path of righteousness than the World Government. Deeply spiritual, he believes strongly in things such as chi and Haki and enjoys the benefits of daily meditation. Qigong is one of the most determined men in the Blue Sea and his resolve is unbreakable, like a stray dog when it sees food. Loss and regret are common responses to whatever he deems are his failures. He loves to eat and drink, though it is difficult for him to get drunk with normal alcohol as a result of his devil fruit powers. His carefree attitude in light of most situations is attributed to his constant yet variable states of drunkenness.
Background: Little is known of Qigong's past, except that he was a slave of Celestial Dragons before joining the Revolutionaries and starting his own movement.
Devil Fruit: Sake Sake no Mi
Haki Color: Arms
